A piece of special cloud

This photo was taken from a flight when I was in a trip from Chicago to San Francisco in August 2021. The sky is clear, but a large piece of single cloud was floating on the remote sky. The cloud would not be H2O, but dirt mixture of CO, CO2 and dusts from the wild fire on the ground (South of Idaho).
