Dr. Bowen Li is an internationally renowned material scientist. His career spans over 30 years in both US and China. He has published over 160 papers and obtained 20+ patents. He has also authored, co-authored and edited more than 20 books.

Dr. Li’s research interests include:

  • Porous ceramics

  • Antimicrobial tratment of material surfaces

  • Phase transformation

  • Materials analysis and characterization

  • Mineral processing

  • Upcycling of solid wastes from mining, mineral processing and metallurgy

  • Sustainable applications of materials

Dr. Li has a PhD in Material Science and Engineering from Michigan Technological University, as well as a PhD in Mineralogy and Petrology from China University of Geosciences. He currently lives in Michigan with his family.
